Strolling along by the reservoir
Wild flowers look yellow and true
Two dogs are enjoying playing in the water
Their owner enjoys the view
As they splash around a spectral figure reflects on the shimmering waves
A familiar face from a strange dimension looks back into the eyes of age

Dark images swim around my mind under surfaces I can't reach
Can we find ourselves by peeling back the layers?
Is there anything underneath?
A shiny surface can show you years of impressions in the blink of an eye
Are we drawn to the water to see ourselves or reflections that ebb with the tide?
