This is Dan's debut single for indie country label Rodeo Records. His ongoing collaboration with music producer Rodeo Jones has led to a unique sound which is set to become one of the label's trademarks. The Amusement Park has a haunted sound which blends surreal lyrics and authentic country production techniques, creating a feeling of warped nostalgia.

The amusement park is open to all kinds
You can spend your life repeating these old rides
You can win a prize or two then try for more

The funhouse is only fun if you wear a smile

Laughter from inside the mirrored room
Children grinning with their big balloons
Gamblers hoping luck is on their side
As the sun goes up and down across the sky

The Ferris wheel keeps spinning round and round
Repeating all it’s colours and it's sounds
Treasure island is just beyond the waves
Another game, another pleasant day

Years can feel like days inside this place
Cause the outside world moves at a different pace
People growing old with teenage dreams
Tired eyes that hide behind a screen
